I read your spring greening article with many good points. I wanted to share what I do with gentley used clothing and household items.
Did you that the Guelph Food Bank will take clothing? The cost is minimal for those in need to clothing. I believe (but don’t quote my on this) that a bag can be filled for two dollars.
As the seasons change and I embark on my closet cleaning, gentley worn coats and boots are taken to my children’s school. Typically these items are given to the teacher who uses their discretion as they are aware of the students in need. It puts a smile on your face when you see a child wearing a warm winter coat that was once used by your child.
The 19th annual Feast of Fields is taking place this year at Everdale Organic Farm and Enironmental Learning Centre. For comlete details, please see our website at http://www.feastoffields.org. Chefs & Farmers|creating a gourmet, organic experience. Sunday September 7, 2008. For tickets, call 905.859.3609—see you there!

I thought you might be posting on the Stephane Dion “Green Shift” talk he gave last week?
