Rob’s Eco Care Property Maintenance provides high quality service at competitive rates while being gentle to the earth. Rob’s Eco Care is about 80% carbon neutral so far with the goal of being 100% carbon neutral.

The services I provide include:

-	Lawn Cutting and Trimming, both Residential and Commercial
-	Small Landscaping Projects
-	Organic and Natural Fertilizers
-	Yard Clean-ups
-	Flower Bed Maintenance
-	Snow Removal

How I am achieving carbon neutrality is through the use of renewable fuels, specifically waste vegetable oil and biodiesel. I have converted both my truck and my riding lawnmower to run on waste vegetable oil, and I start them and shut them off on biodiesel. I also use a rechargeable lawn mower and trimmer (and I have a gas one for larger properties – cordless technology is not up to commercial standards yet!). I also use manual labour – push reel mower for smaller lots, a broom and rake instead of a leaf blower and shovels instead of a snow blower for sidewalks.

Call Rob for you property maintenance needs at 519-662-3933 or email RobsEcoCare@gmail.com. Serving KW to Stratford and all points between.

Where Customer and Environmental care meet.

"Obviously, the issue is that they (The big evil water bottling companies) are taking a “natural resource” and that’s what’s upsetting those heavily opposed to the industry."

Clearly, that's not "the" issue for many of us, and you do those of us who oppose Nestle and other water bottlers a disservice.

First, there's no hypocrisy in calling for taxpayer dollars to not be spent on bottled water. Municipalities have invested heavily in water infrastructure, so banning bottled water purchases simply saves taxpayer dollars.

Second, Nestle's commitment to recycling (as evidenced in the letter from Challinor) only seems to flower when the company is threatened with municipal bans. There has been little in the way of curbside recycling support in the United States, and moreover, isn't curbside recycling of discard water bottles simply a way for Nestle to externalize one of the biggest costs of using its product?

Their stance seems to be that it's better to make plastic bottles and then recycle some of them instead of not making them in the first place - and don't forget we're talking about a product that comes out of most faucets already.

The simple truth Mr. Challinor overlooks in his letter is that beverages in other plastic bottles - soda, etc - don't come out faucets, nor are they essential to life.

Suggesting I'm a hypocrite because I oppose Nestle's predatory approach to small rural communities and repeated attempts to use legal intimidation and strong-arm tactics in those same communities is - dare I say it - missing the point entirely.

I am no fan of bottled water, but I'm even less of a fan of a multinational that intentionally splits communities using divisive rhetoric, its money, and its sledge-hammer legal tactics.

One Green Step Forward is a simplistic logo which is the essence of Footprints Eco Store. We believe when people give a little extra effort, their reward is a greater sense of being.

Our little store, in downtown Guelph, Ontario, is proud to offer environmentally friendly products from around the world as well as many local products.

At Footprints we carefully screen for fair trade, fair labour & human rights practices. You can shop in our store with confidence, knowing that we have looked into each product we offer and have carried out the leg work for you.

We are proud to have a growing clientele that enjoy shopping for low impact, sustainable goods. By giving people a one-stop shopping experience, from dish soap to bamboo towels, we have made it “easy to be green”.

Footprints opened its doors on June 1st, 2008. It took 3 months to finish the renovations. We rebuilt the store’s ceiling and walls using as much recycled materials as possible. Most of the shelves are also built using sustainable materials. By removing the wasteful halogen lighting, we dropped our hydro electric bill substantially; we now run fewer lights and of course use energy efficient bulbs. We are Bull Frog Powered (100% green electricity retailer in Ontario that sources electricity from wind and low-impact water power producers).

Footprints Eco Store is locally owned and operated. We would like to thank all those who have supported our store and have helped make a difference in our community.

I am keen on converting and a gas powered car to electric - picked up the how to instructions, just looking for some like minded people to help move the project along. It has been done many times before - process is simple enough and apparently very affordable. Based on the third tuesday of every month schedule - I missed the meeting tonight, but hope to make some connection none the less! Cheers, Quentin Sill.

I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!!

I've started to think a newer MTB would be a great addition to my Battery Scooter.

I've never heard of eco-renovations before.
I live in Argentina and it hasn't arrived yet, maybe I found a new local market niche :)
I'm a bit afraid of the green house effect, I'm noticing severe climate changes here, this year the crops are almos completely lost here.
Ok, regards
